NeoPharm, an Illinois-based biotech company, will sponsor a conference, entitled 'Advances in Liposomes: New Technologies and New Therapies', in Lincolnshire, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, from September 12-14, 2004.

Liposomes are microscopic membrane-like structures created from lipids (fats). The conference will focus on the recent advances in the liposome area for their use in drug delivery.

The conference will bring together experts from around the world who will discuss the use of lipid-based drug delivery systems in the following areas:
