Netzsch discharges high viscosities

Netzsch's latest barrel-emptying unit can accommodate viscosities of up to 10 million cps while remaining efficient and easy to use, the company claims.

At viscosities up to 3 million cps, the barrel emptying pump does not need to be forced into the product, because it pulls itself in under atmospheric pressure. This reduces the risk of the product overflowing the follower plate and reduces pressure in the discharge pipework.

The BE200 also has a stronger, modular frame that does not require a base plate. The design allows barrels to be moved into place without lifting. Barrel emptying units can yield savings of between 5 and 10% when compared with manual and air-operated systems, says Netzsch.
