Netzsch offers new GMP pharmaceutical universal mill
The dry grinding and dispersion division of the US-based subsidiary of Netzsch has launched a GMP pharmaceutical universal mill, CUM 150. Depending on the material to be processed and desired fineness of the end product, easily interchangeable grinding elements enable adaptation to differing needs, resulting in optimum performance in pharmaceutical applications. This flexibility allows efficient processing of materials between d50 = 10µm and d50 = 100µm.
All internal and external surfaces are radiused and finished to Ra = 0.4 microns with optional electropolishing, eliminating all possibility of contamination through cracks and crevices. The mill is manufactured from 316L stainless steel, with CIP/SIP capability available as an option. It features tangential product discharge, and is available with optional 11 BAR pressure shock resistant construction.
