Honeywell has released an updated version of its Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS).

The Experion Release 200 uses leading-edge open technologies to provide an unprecedented ability to gather, view, analyse and act on information to increase productivity and quality, reduce cost, improve uptime, enhance operator effectiveness and make better and faster business decisions. With its new features and embedded process knowledge, Honeywell says production output can be increased by up to 6%, while reducing production costs by up to 3%.

The R200 also provides continuous evolution and investment protection by allowing the functionality of previous Honeywell systems, as well as third-party systems, to be fully maximised when migrating to the Experion system.

Experion is Honeywell's single system for process, business and asset management. Its unified architecture, with embedded application technologies, collects and integrates process and business data across the entire facility. Making process knowledge available where and when it is needed improves process performance, asset and people effectiveness and business agility.
