New mixer for industry

Australian engineers have developed what they claim is an economical, cleaner and safer mixer for the pharma industry.

The Soliquid mixer blends solids and liquids by creating a continuously flowing stream from a vortex without using any blades or other external parts.

The inventors, Saurin Technologies, said the vortex is created by the tangential entry of ingredients. It claims the Soliquid machine can mix without foaming, and uses 20% less energy than standard mixers.
