New MultiScreen vacuum improves assay performance
Millipore has placed its new MultiScreen vacuum manifold for enhanced 96- and 384-well assay performance on the market.
Millipore has placed its new MultiScreen vacuum manifold for enhanced 96- and 384-well assay performance on the market.
Applicable in both manual and automated laboratory environments, the vacuum manifold can be configured easily for both flow-to-waste and analyte collection.
For applications that require filtrate collection, the system can incorporate Millipore's DirectStack technology to eliminate cross-talk and enable the filter and collection plates to stack directly, thus removing any gaps between flow directors and receiver wells. In addition, DirectStack technology allows filtration cycles to be completed without manual intervention.
The compact size of the vacuum makes it an ideal choice for robotic systems: the dimensions of the base are modelled after American National Standards Institute/Society of Biomolecular Screening (ANSI/SBS) 2004 standards to fit most robot deck locations. Additionally, its collar is lightweight and features a groove for easy handling by robotic gripper systems.
It supports a wide variety of MultiScreen platforms, including Solvinert and Deep Well Solvinert filter plates. Fitted with a deep well collar accessory, it can also accommodate deep well receiver plates.
