New name for B Braun Biotech International

The German-based manufacturer of fermenters and bioreactors B Braun Biotech International GmbH (BBI) has changed its company and brand name to Sartorius BBI Systems GmbH, in line with its parent company's identity.


The German-based manufacturer of fermenters and bioreactors B Braun Biotech International GmbH (BBI) has changed its company and brand name to Sartorius BBI Systems GmbH, in line with its parent company's identity.

Its sister companies in the US and Italy have also changed their names from B Braun Biotech Inc. and BBItech@MEDIT srl to Sartorius BBI Systems Inc. and Sartorius BBI Systems srl respectively.

The new brand strategy is focused on streamlining the image within the group, reducing complexity anmd strengthening the core Sartorius brand.
