New president and HQ for US-based drug delivery company MonoSol Rx

Alexander Schobel is to leave his position as global head of new technology and product innovation at Novatis to become president and ceo of drug delivery company MonoSol Rx.


Alexander Schobel is to leave his position as global head of new technology and product innovation at Novatis to become president and ceo of drug delivery company MonoSol Rx.

MonoSol Rx, which produces films as a fast-dissolve oral drug delivery platform, also plans to move its headquarters to New Jersey in order to better serve its pharmaceutical customer base. Production operations will remain in Portage, Indiana.

The hiring of Schobel follows the separation of MonoSol Rx as a stand-alone business from MonoSol LLC. The original ceo of MonoSol Rx, P. Scott Bening, will continue as president & ceo of manufacturer of water-soluble specialty films, MonoSol LLC.
