A new range of spray nozzles engineered for the cleaning, coating, drying, misting and dosing of pharmaceutical products has been launched.

The SDX range of V and a check valve spray drying nozzles, developed by specialist company Delavan, enable the company to give advice on optimisation of flow, droplet size and spray angle to achieve the highest possible product yield and quality.

The company has recently launched a check valve variation, SDX V spray drying nozzle.

This promises operators drip-free shut off, saving loss of valuable product and avoiding the need for clean-up before processes restart. Manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, personal care products and chemicals will benefit, as will other applications in process industries.

Maximising up-time is critical for operators of drying plants. Delavan SDX bodies are precision manufactured from stainless steel for durability and wear resistance. Nozzle wear parts are made from high-grade carbide. Optimum performance is therefore maintained longer, sustaining target yields and minimising process stoppages for nozzle maintenance or changes. To ensure process continuity, SDX nozzles are designed for quick and easy installation and rapid replacement of the wear parts.
