New zippers launched
Supreme Plastics has launched a series of Keyseal zippers with a co-extruded sealing layer that improves production efficiency by reducing the sealing temperature and dwell time.
The development provides a reliable closure for all vertical form-fill-seal machines that make resealable pouches, including those with cross-web or transverse zipper application technology.
The new 24mm wide zipper works with purpose-built cross-web machinery.
The 7mm narrow zipper works on existing machinery that has been upgraded with a cross-web retrofit applicator system. As well as reducing material costs, the narrow width of the profile allows more zipper per reel, reducing the down time from change overs.
The new zippers mean that almost any type of vertical form-fill-seal system can now benefit from the cross-web application method.
