Global healthcare company Abbott has increased production at its Mexico City facility with the installation of an NV2 fully automatic self-adhesive labelling system from UK company Newman Labelling Systems.

The machine was purchased by Abbott for use in its tabletting area to label plastic containers of vitamins. The NV2 has an effective production rate of 150 containers per minute, while still ensuring accurate label placement.

The NV2 has been supplied with an automatic reject station for absence of overprint and missing label. Newman also fitted the machine with castors to enable it to be moved from one line to another.

The NV2 can be used on cylindrical, flat and square containers from 10mm to 150mm with minimal change parts, making it very versatile.
