Alfa Laval wins SEK90m pharmaceutical order in India

To supply a processing line for a new insulin plant in Malaysia


Alfa Laval, a leading provider of specialised products and engineering solutions based on its key technologies of heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling, has won an order from a major pharmaceutical company in India to supply a processing line for a new insulin plant in Malaysia.

The order is worth approximately SEK90m (€10.4m; US$13.3m) and delivery is scheduled for 2014.

The order includes a variety of Alfa Laval equipment for fermentation, fluid handling and tank cleaning, forming a complete processing line for insulin production.
