Uses ozone gas to kill pathogenic organisms

CoolCLAVE, AMS Biotechnology’s latest lab steriliser, uses ozone gas to clean laboratory tools. It is effective in sterilising and deodorising lightly contaminated pipettes, pipette tips, gloves, plates, small instruments, and even personal items such as keys and glasses, the UK-headquartered supplier to the life sciences says.

To operate, items are simply placed inside the CoolCLAVE and the START button pressed.

The anti-microbial properties of ozone are said to provide a powerful sanitising effect capable of killing more than 98% of most pathogenic organisms (bacteria, fungus, virus, etc.) in just eight minutes. Ozone also eliminates the odours produced by these organisms providing an additional deodorising effect.

CoolCLAVE also operates without using any harsh chemicals, harmful UV rays, or heat, and does not damage any surfaces or leave behind any chemical residues.
