Edwards is highlighting the reliability and environmental benefits of its dry vacuum pumps at Expoquimia, Barcelona

Edwards is highlighting the reliability and environmental benefits of its dry vacuum pumps at Expoquimia, Barcelona, 30 September – 3 October. Expoquimia is an international chemical show that takes place every three years.

This year on stand A186 Edwards will be showing several running dry vacuum pumps, a CXS, a GXS and an nXDS. Two of the pumps will be wirelessly connected to computers, demonstrating the pumps’ control and monitoring features. The nXDS will be running together with a vacuum chamber, and Edwards’ application experts will do live experiments at the show.

'We are delighted to be showcasing our wide range of vacuum capabilities at Expoquimia. Our dry vacuum technology can provide real cost benefits and environmentally friendly solutions to the pharmaceutical and process industries,' said Dr Don Collins, Market Development Manager, Chemical Sector, Edwards.

The CXS delivers exceptional vacuum performance and reliability in pharmaceutical processes, enabling users to benefit from a low cost of ownership and at the same time minimize their environmental impact. Chemical industries globally are placing new demands on the market for vacuum to be highly reliable, flexible and available on demand in a ‘plug and pump’ system; the CXS has been designed to address these requirements, being simple to install and use with up to five years between services.

The nXDS dry scroll pump is suitable for use on vapour handling processes even with corrosives and particulates, and so is ideal for use in chemical laboratories. The advanced scroll form and quiet operation of the nXDS, together with intelligent, easy to use controls, deliver best-in-class performance.

Also on the stand will be a running GXS. The GXS range, with its innovative screw technology, enables users to maximise their productivity and performance with a low cost of ownership and small carbon footprint. The GXS provides robust and reliable operation even in harsh applications, and its long service intervals (up to five years) mean minimal maintenance is required.

Visitors to stand A186 will have the opportunity to discuss the optimum vacuum technology for their application with experts from the company.
