The robust two-phase separating decanter is particularly suitable for smaller production volumes and for scale-up tests.
Its geometries correspond to those of GEA's large production machines. This ensures reliable scale-up and thus investment security.
Optionally, it is available in ATEX design. The pilotMaster has special protection against erosion and corrosion and thus against aggressive substances and materials used in the chemical industry.
As such, all parts in contact with the product are made of high-alloy duplex steels, super duplex steels or Hastelloy C276. Depending on the application, the seals are made of NBR, FKM, FFKM, EPDM.
Reliable scale-up
The pilotMaster is the ideal machine for customers who need to scale-up their production capacity. The centrifuge offers maximum flexibility with bowl speeds ranging from 1000–6500 RPM and differential speeds of 1–80 RPM with no need to change pulleys.
It also benefits from the same geometric configuration as the larger production machines. Chemical cleaning after the separation process is possible.
Optimum adaptation to changing products and product conditions with GEA Hydro Drive
Easy adjustment of differential speed ranges I (1-15 RPM) and II (10-80 RPM) to respond to changing products and product conditions is possible with the GEA Hydro Drive. Adjustments can be made in less than 5 minutes and without the use of tools or changing pulleys.
Individual tests and adjustments at the GEA Test Center in Oelde, Germany
GEA centrifuges are not mass-produced products. Rather, they must be selected and adjusted for optimum use, taking into account the user's specific process requirements. Tests and analyses can be done at the customer's site or at the GEA Test Center for separation technology in Oelde.
