Omya and HARKE GROUP announce their principal partnership for the distribution of products in the pharma segment.
Targeting pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets, Omya provides its exclusive mineral ingredients with advanced functionalities that are a perfect addition to the HARKE Pharma & Nutra portfolio. From now on, Omyapharm, Omyapure and Omyanutra mineral particles will be offered by HARKE GROUP’s Life Sciences Division in Germany, Ireland, the UK and Austria.
Omya is a mineral producer with more than 130 years of expertise. Thanks to patented techniques, continuous research and development, the company provides functional ingredient solutions to improve foods, beverages and personal care products, as well as nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications. Omyapharm and Omyanutra are a new generation of excipients made of high-purity minerals that are GMO-free and non-nano. Their porous structure combined with specific morphologies opens up a wealth of benefits for powder, solid or liquid forms.
High-purity Omyapharm for pharmaceutical applications improves the flow of blends and prevents caking. Its high porosity can also be used for absorbing liquid APIs so that they can be formulated into solid dosage forms. High mechanical strength and fast disintegration are additional benefits in tablet formulations.

Omyanutra 300-OG for nutraceutical applications improves the flow of blends and prevents caking. Omyanutra 300-DC is the direct compressible version of the Omyanutra 300 excipient. Due to the high absorption capacity of the Omyanutra materials, they can be also loaded by impregnation with up to 40% crystalline actives and 60% liquids, converting liquids such as natural oils or herbal extracts into direct compressible powders. The free-flowing granules of the DC variant allow for easy manufacturing, resulting in less tablet weight variability and higher compactability.
Omyanutra 300 Flash includes a superdisintegrant leading to ultra-fast dissolution qualities in directly compressed or free-flow powder form.
The high purity mineral Omyapure 35-OG is a valuable component for calcium supplementation. The particles support bone health (e.g. osteoporosis treatment) and are ideally suited for antacid formulations.
