PCI invests in bottling line expansion

Illinois commercial packaging site has received investment to add nearly 100 million units of bottling line capacity

PCI Pharma Services (PCI) has announced the expansion of its bottling line capacity at its commercial packaging site in Rockford, Illinois. The expansion will build additional packaging suites to add to the primary and secondary packaging operations to allow productions of an extra 100 million bottles per year.

Construction of the began in March 2018 and will equip the facility with high-speed tablet filling, cartoning, as well as in-line serialisation and aggregation in support of increased customer demand.

The US-based global biopharmaceutical company supports medicines destined to reach more than 100 countries across the world, providing services for the clinical and commercial packaging of a diverse portfolio of products and specialised delivery forms. The investment in the Rockford location is the latest in a series of capacity expansion initiatives across its network.
