OSTHUS provides vendor-agnostic consulting and system integration services for R&D organisations in the life-sciences industry

PharmaLex Group, a service provider for the pharma, biotech and medtech industries, has completed a transaction to begin a joint venture with OSTHUS Services.

OSTHUS provides vendor-agnostic consulting and system integration services for R&D organisations in the life-sciences industry. With offices in Aachen, Germany and Melbourne, Florida, USA, the company’s team uses expertise in data and information technology strategy, data governance, advanced analytics and laboratory informatics to transform data into digital assets that drive informed decision-making, expand knowledge, reduce costs and accelerate time-to-market.

“Looking from the start of the company to now, OSTHUS made major steps to become a trusted scientific advisor and solution provider for Life Sciences R&D organisations. PharmaLex is the right fit for OSTHUS to leverage synergies and to support customers at a global scale”, Torsten Osthus said.

Andreas Mohr, a member of the company’s founding team, will continue to lead and manage OSTHUS Services. Torsten Osthus will support PharmaLex and OSTHUS in an advisory role.

“OSTHUS creates value through an integrated business, data, and IT strategy. The alliance with PharmaLex allows us to expand our business to provide vendor-agnostic consulting and solutions for our growing life sciences customer base,” Mohr said. “We look forward to leveraging PharmaLex’s reputation as a leading provider in the industry to remove innovation barriers and to promote a data and technology-centric business culture.”

“The collaboration with OSTHUS will serve to strengthen our technology enabled smart services, the ’Global Statistics and Data Science’ (GSDS) unit, as well as our computerised system validation and data governance services, while benefiting our information technology group as we build our own data warehouse,” said PharmaLex CEO Dr Thomas Dobmeyer. “Together with OSTHUS we now have the manpower and expertise to deliver the growing client demand of building customised information technology solutions."
