Two Romaco business units sold to Coesia

US company Robbins &Myers has completed the sale of two of its Romaco business units - Hapa and Laetus - to Italian industrial group Coesia S.p.A. for approximately Euro 26m, effective 1 April, 2006.


US company Robbins &Myers has completed the sale of two of its Romaco business units - Hapa and Laetus - to Italian industrial group Coesia S.p.A. for approximately Euro 26m, effective 1 April, 2006.

"This strategic divestment of non-core businesses is an important step forward in reducing our complexity and becoming better focused," said Peter C. Wallace, president and ceo of Robbins & Myers.

"We believe in the excellent potential of Romaco's core competencies of packaging and processing and will pursue our drive for growth by further investing in this product portfolio and the underlying technologies.

"We will continue to work closely with Coesia to ensure a seamless transition of the Hapa and Laetus businesses for our customers."
