Niro, part of the GEA Group, exhibited a range of equipment for pharmaceutical and chemical applications

The range of equipment included:

a new Integrated Filter Dryer (IFD) which has all its filter elements inside the dryer to save space, reduce noise and significantly improve product quality;

the SD Micro Spray Dryer for product and process evaluation;

and the brand new PSD1, pharmaceutical spray dryer, specially designed for all pharmaceutical applications.

There was also a new range of atomizers,including the FO.1A for Mobile Minor Spray Dryers; the new FO25 for the PSD1 pharmaceutical dryer; and the new F1.5X for larger pharmaceutical dryers.

The Niro 'W' atomiser wheel was also on display. The wheel has multiple holes to produce powders with a much narrower particle size distribution than has been achievable before.
