NNE Pharmaplan launched as a joint company

NNE Pharmaplan has been officially launched as a joint company following NNE's acquisition of the German engineering company Pharmaplan GmbH.

"We will now start integrating the two companies, while maintaining focus on the daily business of supplying high-quality engineering and consultancy services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries," said Hans Ole Voigt, president of NNE Pharmaplan.

"I am confident that the integration process will be relatively smooth. The purpose of the merger is to utilise the business synergies and future growth potential which will be released by unifying two companies with complementary market presence and competences."

Pharmaplan supplements NNE with knowhow in delivery of turnkey facilities, validation and key pharmaceutical processes, whereas NNE supplements Pharmaplan in areas such as biotechnology, cleanroom and automation.

Ole Voigt added that with its now global presence and 1,500 -strong workforce, NNE Pharmaplan will be able to compete for large-scale pharmaceutical projects throughout the world".

The corporate headquarters will be in Copenhagen, Denmark but there will be "a significant Germany hub in Frankfurt" the company said.
