PCI's filter works at high flowrates

PCI-Memtech's wedge wire hygienic stainless steel filter features a simple, robust design complete with a backwashing facility. It is claimed to be ideal for strainer applications that require uniform product consistency.

Particles as small as 25µm can be removed at greater flowrates than can be achieved by standard filters, according to the company. The filter accommodates pipeline sizes from 2 to 4" and adapters are available for 5 and 6" lines. Flowrates of 40m³/hr have been achieved with 50-micron elements.
