Penn opens new production plant

UK-based Penn Pharmaceutical Services has invested around £1m (€1.63m; US$1.44m) in a new 4,000 sq ft production facility at its base in south Wales. The plant is part of the company's strategy to double its size within the next three years and complements Penn's existing contract manufacturing facilities. The extra production capacity will also support growth in the company's pharmaceutical formulation division, analytical chemistry laboratories and clinical trials packaging and supply management services.
