Phoqus invests in classification

Published: 2-Apr-2001

Powder processing company British Rema has designed and built a micronising and classification system at Phoqus. The stainless steel equipment is designed to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.

Installed and commissioned within the GMP suites at the Phoqus r&d facility in West Malling, Kent, the equipment is an integral part of the processing of formulated powder systems. These are used with the LeQtradose drug delivery systems.

The turnkey system includes an aerojet microniser/classifier and associated equipment, such as a screw feeder, high-efficiency cyclone, dust collector, suction fan, interconnecting ducting, dampers and collection bins. Everything is connected using Tri-Clover quick release fasteners.
