Reconditioned centrifuges

Published: 27-Sep-2001

Broadbent Customer Services is now selling reconditioned centrifuges to complement the sale of new machines. A good example is the conversion of drives and ploughs from hydraulic to electric. Batch centrifuges used by traditional chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers have in the past been hydraulic powered to allow them to comply with legislation on hazardous environments. But the development of new electric motors means that hydraulic power can be eliminated. The primary benefit of conversion to electric is that it makes the machine clean and eliminates the possibility of external contamination.

Hydraulic ploughs have also had problems with hydraulic fluid contaminating the finished product. And Broadbent can also fix electric ploughs to ensure the machines are as clean as possible.

Conversions carried out are intrinsically safe and Exd-rated so that the machine can work safely in hazardous environments, where a single spark can ignite a whole plant.
