Rhodia is planning to close its Mulhouse Dornach site at the end of the year.


Rhodia is planning to close its Mulhouse Dornach site at the end of the year.

The company says an economic analysis of the site's business activities has clearly illustrated a difficult competitive situation being faced by agrochemical and pharmaceutical intermediates. Although considerable efforts have been made to cut costs and increase prices, these have not halted the decline in these businesses.

Rhodia says it will make every effort to redeploy all employees concerned. So far, alternative employment has been identified for more than 100 people out of the 135 based at the site.
