Pharmaceutical excipient specialist Roquette has created two new business groups, Roquette Health & Pharma Solutions and Roquette Nutrition & Bioindustry.
The novel subsidiary was introduced after the successful acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions.
Roquette has created the Health & Pharma Solutions division to encourage operational agility and customer responsiveness, and has more than 11,000 employees and 40 manufacturing facilities to its name.
On top of this, it has a strengthened network or global R&D and Innovation Centers, which has expanded the company's global footprint and portfolio diversity.
With the addition of Roquette Health & Pharma Solutions, the company will now bring a more balanced offering between Roquette's health and nutrition sectors.
The new organisation features two business groups, which will rely on dedicated teams and assets.
Isabelle Bouvier will be the CEO of the Health & Pharma Solutions business group, while Pascal Leroy has been appointed as CEO of the Nutrition & Bioindustry business group.
Meanwhile, Béatrice Totel will take over Isabelle Bouvier's role as CFO of Roquette.
Health & Pharma Solutions
Roquette's Health & Pharma Solutions business group is dedicated to helping its customers address complex challenges in drug delivery.
Through the creation of a dedicated team, the company will be better equipped to perform product development, while offering improved customer service.
Led by Isabelle Bouvier, the company's previous CFO, the department will offer its clients a wide range of excipients for the optimisation of drug delivery, efficacy, safety and patient compliance.
Bouvier was responsible for leading both the Qualicaps and IFF Pharma Solutions acquisitions, and is preparing the integration of IFF's Pharma division currently.
"Over the past few years, we have accelerated Roquette's positioning as a key partner for major pharmaceutical companies," noted Bouvier.
"The integration of Qualicaps, Roquette and IFF Pharma Solutions into a single, unified business group will strengthen our health and pharma activities by combining the industry's largest portfolio of oral drug delivery solutions, technological expertise and our global footprint," she stated.
Nutrition & Bioindustry
Through the acquisition of IFF, some of the company's business and product lines will integrated into Roquette's Nutrition & Bioindustry business group.
This group will mainly focus on food and other selected industrial applications — pushing the company further into the lucrative world of food and nutrition.
Led by Pascal Leroy, the company will focus on providing its customers with plant-based ingredients for the food and nutraceutical spaces.
"Our nutrition and bioindustry activities have successfully driven the company to where it is today. As we bring them together in our Business Group, I look forward to building on our strong operational capabilities and to providing innovative solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of our markets," concluded Leroy.
