Sigma-Aldrich, the US$1.8bn life science and high technology firm, has been named a recipient of US-based Merck & Co.'s prestigious 2006 Sector Operational Award.


Sigma-Aldrich, the US$1.8bn life science and high technology firm, has been named a recipient of US-based Merck & Co.'s prestigious 2006 Sector Operational Award.

The company was chosen for its outstanding services, helping Merck realise process efficiencies as well as significant savings.

In early 2006, Sigma-Aldrich was selected for providing a suite of organic raw materials and sourcing services through its fine chemicals business unit (SAFC) that met Merck's needs. To date, utilisation of this service has increased by 50%.
