S Black joins the Azelis Group

A specialist provider of services to the life sciences sector in the UK and Germany has a new owner.

After 40 years as an independent business, S Black has become part of the Azelis Group - a European distributor of specialty chemicals polymers.

The move offers S Black a more robust European presence and for Azelis, a stronger representation and increased technical knowledge of the personal care, healthcare and food sectors throughout Europe.

S Black managing director Neil Berry, said: " It was of prime importance to find a forward thinking, dynamic partner that would keep S Black's reputation and identity intact, whilst providing the platform for increased geographic growth, and the benefits of being part of a pan- European organisation. Azelis ceo Udo Wenzel, said: "This will further enhance our already strong position in the life sciences area which will also benefit from of a number of additional planned acquisitions in the next 12 months."

S Black will retain its well-known name and identity. The company's life science focus will be maintained with additional growth opportunities developed.
