Sanitising with water

With Septrosan, Christ offers the first hot water sanitisable electrodeionisation module available worldwide. Rinsing of the whole purified water generation plant with 75;80°C hot water replaces the chemical disinfection needed formerly.

Not only does the process save time and money, it is also less environmentally harmful than chemical alternatives, while remaining reliable against microbial contamination in sensitive applications such as pharmaceuticals.

The fully automatic program is installed into the PLC of the appliance in the factory. Once the system's purified water has been heated to 75;80°C by a heat exchanger, this temperature is maintained for 30min. Afterwards the water is cooled back to the operating temperature. The entire process takes around 4hr.
