Sanofi-aventis completes purchase of Symbion

Sanofi-aventis has completed the purchase of Symbion Consumer, an Australian company that manufactures, markets and distributes nutraceuticals (vitamins & mineral supplements) and over the counter brands throughout Australia and New Zealand.


Sanofi-aventis has completed the purchase of Symbion Consumer, an Australian company that manufactures, markets and distributes nutraceuticals (vitamins & mineral supplements) and over the counter brands throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Based on a portfolio of brands such as i Natures Own, Cenovis, Bio-organics, Golden Glow and Microgenics , Symbion's sales amounted to around A$ 190 million in 2007.

Sales will be consolidated by sanofi-aventis as from September 1, 2008.
