Sartorius has introduced the Sartocheck 4, a fully automated, microprocessor-controlled integrity tester for filter membranes. The system can measure a variety of parameters, including configurable bubble point testing for hard-to-test oil-based products, diffusion testing, and water intrusion testing.

Every user action is recorded in an audit trail in accordance with 21 CFR part 11 regulations. Filter tests can be easily navigated thanks to a simple and clear menu structure that can guide even inexperienced operators.

A total of 350 test programmes and 500 test results can be held within its internal database, with a unique data access security system built into the unit to ensure that results are never lost or overwritten.

For larger and more complex filtration processes, the system will be capable of independently operating up to four additional test units, giving flexible operation and autonomous parallel testing in real time. This allows operators to focus on other issues, such as process optimisation, and to do away with extensive validation documentation.
