Scaling the heights
Staff at Bespak pledged more than £6000 to Asthma UK by climbing Britain's three tallest peaks in less than 24 hours as part of the annual Three Peaks Challenge. The team travelled more than 500 miles and ascended a total of 11,173ft.
'Sheer determination got us to the top of those three mountains but it was worth the pain and all the training beforehand,' said challenge organiser and Bespak engineer Simon Kniebe.
Teams from Bespak plants at King's Lynn and Milton Keynes linked up in a joint effort to raise the impressive sum. The funds raised by Bespak employees will be used to help Asthma UK provide specialist holidays for sufferers between the ages of six and 17 so families can enjoy a summer break and take part in activities they might normally miss out on.
