Italian life science group Flamma has further strengthened its presence in China with the start-up of a Technical Centre in Shanghai.


Italian life science group Flamma has further strengthened its presence in China with the start-up of a Technical Centre in Shanghai.

Shanghai Flamma Bioscience is focused on research and development of intermediates for chemical life science custom manufacturing. The laboratories are equipped to the latest standards and are located in the Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park.

The opening in Shanghai is an expansion of Flamma's existing presence in China in the form of GongAn Flamma Biochemicals, a joint-venture between Flamma and Shine Star (Hubei) Bilogical Engineering, which is active in the manufacturing of basic amino acids and the GMP production of active ingredients based upon amino acids.

Headquartered in Chignolo d'Isola, Italy. Flamma is a leading custom manufacturer of amino acids and amino acid derivatives for the pharmaceutical industry, as well as other active ingredients for pharmaceutical applications.
