Sigma-Aldrich launches new online assay library

Published: 3-Mar-2005

Sigma-Aldrich Corporation has launched the Assay Library on its web-based Enzyme Explorer. The Assay Library features over 600 detailed procedures for measuring enzyme activity and related metabolites. The library is the result of over ten years of in-house process development by Sigma-Aldrich scientists.

Robert Gates, product manager at Sigma-Aldrich stated: 'The Assay Library provides the largest commercial compendium of enzymatic assay procedures available on-line to date. Researchers should find this tool useful in many areas of biomedical research, including drug discovery, metabolic processes, and disease studies.'

The Enzyme Explorer features in-depth resources on protein research including new metabolic pathway animations. The addition of the Assay Library to the Enzyme Explorer enhances the comprehensive technical content that is available free of charge to all researchers.
