Smart vision system from ITS

Middlesbrough, UK-based Industrial Technology Systems (ITS) launched a new inspection system, Userpak II & OCV-Pak, a Cognex partner product.


Middlesbrough, UK-based Industrial Technology Systems (ITS) launched a new inspection system, Userpak II & OCV-Pak, a Cognex partner product.

Based on Cognex's VisionPro technology, the vision system provides high-speed character verification and recognition and is designed to inspect text, codes and patterns on pharmaceutical products and packaging.

Employing image processing techniques including geometric analysis, vectorial algorithms and aspect analysis, ITS says the system is suitable for all industrial applications. The product is modular and embedded in standard PC architecture, allowing for the connection of up to 4 cameras per vision processor, and is compliant with 21 CFR Part 11.

The system can perform up to 650 inspections per minute and is described by ITS as 'a complete and homogenous solution with one single package covering all vision requirements.'
