SNPE plans to reopen Toulouse plant
Groupe SNPE is poised to resume chemical production at its plant in Toulouse, which was shut down in the wake of the explosion at the AZF plant last September.
French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin emphasised that SNPE would be authorised to restart operations, 'provided that they are in a position to meet the new safety requirements set by the government'. SNPE will be quick to submit an action plan for the progressive restart of all the installations, along with proposals to meet the safety expectations of both the authorities and the local inhabitants.
