Sorvall centrifuges offer extra features

Sorvall Discovery SE ultracentrifuges from Kendro are warranted for use with Beckman ultra rotors. They are designed to make even complicated ultracentrifuge separations straightforward.

An automatic RCF/RPM Mode allows users to set runs to a maximum speed or desired g-force. Real time control enables delayed start/stop runs.

Other standard features include an on-line rotor catalogue that details key specifications for Sorvall, Beckman and Kontron rotors, a 20-program memory and run scheduling for centrifuge reservations.

Top speeds of 90,000 or 100,000rpm are possible, claim the company, while the simple keypad operator interface enables easy set up of routine spins and gives access to a host of powerful features in just a few keystrokes.

Dual display of set and run conditions allows instrument performance to be verified at a glance, while the screen zoom function enables separations to be monitored from across the room.
