Spanish pharma company J. Uriach chooses IDBS data management solution

Spanish pharmaceutical company J. Uriach, of Barcelona, plans to improve its developmental focus on inflammatory diseases through the installation of a drug discovery data management solution from UK-based software solutions supplier IDBS.


Spanish pharmaceutical company J. Uriach, of Barcelona, plans to improve its developmental focus on inflammatory diseases through the installation of a drug discovery data management solution from UK-based software solutions supplier IDBS.

Maker of Triflusal, one of the most prescribed antithrombotic agents in Spain, J. Uriach wanted one integrated platform to handle the biological, chemical and statistical data generated by the laboratory and chose to implement ActivityBase, supplied by Guildford-based IDBS.

IDBS consultants had been working with the Spanish company since 2003 to determine how current information could be ported to the new ActivityBase environment, and how the new architecture could be applied to the current J. Uriach workflow.
