Strong signs for InformexUSA 2007

InformexUSA 2007 is set to open in San Francisco's Moscone Center West on 13 February. Show organisers CMPi and the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA) expect attendee footfall over the three days to exceed last year's 4,100 in Orlando - boosted by the US introduction within Informex of the International Contract Services Expo (ICSE) outsourcing event.

For the second year, the number of exhibitors will reach 500, while momentum for the heavily networking-oriented show was confirmed when over 80% of floor space was taken almost three months before opening.

The show formula links exhibitors with a high quality, senior attendee profile, and features showcases/seminars, popular networking events and an informal atmosphere. New elements for 2007 include an upgraded website, VIP and Founders programmes and the 'Single Point of Contact' (SPOC) fast response programme to assist exhibitors during show build-up.

The 2007 show will also mark introduction in the US of ICSE, with its focus on outsourcing and contract manufacturing. ICSE USA will have its major launch in 2008.

'As shown by pre-show momentum and exhibitor numbers, and with its uniquely informal atmosphere, Informex continues as the lead annual US meeting and networking opportunity across the chemical and pharma services sectors,' said CMPi's show director Jennifer Jessup.

November 2006 saw the debut of the InformexChina event, which attracted 56 exhibitors and more than 1,200 high-quality attendees in Guangzhou. Meanwhile, bookings are building steadily for the third event in the Informex family - InformexEurope. The debut event will be staged in the Messe Berlin complex in Germany on 5 - 7 June 2007.

For 2008, InformexUSA is scheduled to return to New Orleans' newly refurbished Morial Convention Centre, on 29 January - 1 February. New Orleans last hosted the show in 2003.
