TD Packaging extends blister lines

TD Packaging, of Swindon in the UK, has extended its blister packing operation with the installation of two lines supplied by Romaco UK. The first line, consisting of a rotary sealing Noack 920 blister packer plus Promatic P150 cartoner and Sollas overwrapper, was installed at the end of last year. The second line comprises a platen sealing Noack DPN 760 blister packer and Promatic Bipak cartoner. Both machines feature extended beds, allowing access for multiple operators during semi-automatic packaging operations.

The lines represent a significant increase in TDP's pharmaceutical contract blister packing capacity. However, TDP director Martin Tedham is confident that the new lines will give a rapid payback, 'When we set up TDP, the main focus of business was picking, packing and distributing contact lenses and lens care for CibaVision.

'Today we have 10 packaging lines, fulfilling contracts for ethical and otc manufacturers, supplements producers and many high street multiples.'
