Temperature transmitter covers eight sensors

Published: 28-Aug-2001

The Model 848T temperature transmitter from Rosemount can monitor the temperature signal from up to eight sensors and transmit the information digitally down a single twisted pair Foundation fieldbus connection.

Sensors can be resistance elements, thermocouples or millivolts signals in any combination. All sensor power is provided by the 848T from the 8-32V DC fieldbus power. The single unit brings head amplifier and transmitter performance to eight separate monitoring heads.

A measurement accuracy of +/-0.3°C can be achieved with a Pt100 sensor, with a stability of 0.1°C or 0.1% of the reading.
