As the first company to file an ANDA containing a paragraph IV certification for this product, Teva has been awarded a 180-day period of marketing exclusivity.
The AB-rated sertraline tablets are indicated for treatment of major depressive disorders. Annual brand product sales in the US were around US$3.1bn for the 12 months ended June 2006, based on IMS data.
