The future of coding?

A new laser coding technology was revealed by Domino. 'The S200 represents many major breakthroughs, which will define the future of coding technology. It is a result of understanding customers' needs and combining technological expertise from Domino and our partner Sator Laser', said Colin Mills, laser marketing director at Domino. 'We are confident that this system will address changing coding requirements, with unprecedented simplicity in operation, integration and maintenance.'

The code quality of the S200 is unmatched, the company claims, by other laser systems in its class thanks to the unique scanning technology. Whether it is simple coding or includes complicated European and Asian characters, the S200 produces a sharp indelible code on a wide range of materials, both moving and stationary. It can be used for coding packages and products with serial numbers, batch codes, bar codes, 2D codes, logos and graphics.

At the heart of the system is Domino's micro laser, which the company says is the smallest and lightest laser head in its class.
