A new high-capacity tablet and capsule weight sorter offering improved accuracy and precision handling has been introduced by CI Electronics, of Salisbury, UK.
The floor-standing SADE SP200 sorter has twin 60-litre bulk hoppers and is designed for 24-hour unattended operation. Applications include the reclaiming of valuable product from rejected batches or statistical analysis for clinical trial and drug development batches.
The system has an accurate, compact CI MK6 weigh head that gives a faster response, together with improved feed and sort mechanisms. It can be set up to handle many sizes of tablet or capsule up to a weight of 2g.
New control software enables fixed quantity sorting and multiple sorts to be performed. The sorter also has the facility for printing reports directly without having to connect a PC. All contact parts are made from 316 stainless steel to facilitate cleaning.
