Tips for advanced inspection applications

Systech International, based in Cranbury, NJ, US, has added to its Tips advanced inspection technology system, with the VS100 vial print and inspect. This on-line printing and inspection system is designed to provide all the necessary components to print and verify codes on vials. It prints both human-readable inkjet lot codes on the crimp of a vial, with each print being verified using Tips FA2ST character recognition tool, or a uv data matrix on the flip top cap or bottom of the vial. The latter allows the user to encode an invisible, unique, traceable code on each vial, which is then verified with the FA2ST.

Tips also provides a comprehensive audit trail and log. All system activity is maintained in an ultra-secure audit log database. Every change is recorded to a digitally fingerprinted database, and can be viewed and reported only in PDF format. This makes it ideal for compliance with 21CFR Part 11. The regulation allows manufacturers to sign and submit reports electronically, and Systech offers the Tips pen, which is a digital signature interface, based upon Adobe Acrobat, and supports third party plug-ins for digital signatures. The pre-configured production and system configuration reports are formatted with signature blocks for the signature of authored, reviewed and approved personnel.
