Columbia River Resources has finalised the purchase of Traxxec Ltd, a UK company that specialises in the development of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and their supportive systems and applications.


Columbia River Resources has finalised the purchase of Traxxec Ltd, a UK company that specialises in the development of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and their supportive systems and applications.

The new business has significant synergy with the Columbia River Resources UK subsidiary, Medify Solutions Ltd, which designs and supplies secure access to patient notes via Windows-equipped smartphone/PDA devices.

Traxxec specialises in packaging applications, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector, and in the past six years has funded the development of RFID applications in the pharmaceutical and healthcare market. In October 2005, it made a patent application for an RFID enabled pharmaceutical bottle and has secured early commercial sales in both Europe and US.

In April 2007 Traxxec Ltd entered into a 15-year worldwide exclusive license agreement with Rexam Pharma for its RFID product for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
