Two steam generators for Bayer Diagnostics
Two steam generators from Clayton have been supplied to Bayer Diagnostics Manufacturing in Sudbury.
The generators are part of a process to produce reagents used in an advanced medical critical-care diagnostic system.
The generators will provide dry steam for the process. They have rapid start-up capabilities and are fuel-efficient. A special pump forces water through a heated coil and the resulting steam/water mixture is directed to a vortex separator. The steam quality at the outlet of the vortex is at least 99.5 per cent dry saturated.
