Tycon contains IBC problem
Special alloy IBCs have been supplied by Tycon Containers Group, of Manchester in the UK, to a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer after standard stainless steel containers were found to corrode at elevated temperatures with the risk of container failure. Following extensive laboratory compatibility tests, an alternative steel material was found, although this had never before been press formed and welded into IBCs. The containers are an adaptation of Tycon's type TP vessels and are used to store and transport the pharmaceutical materials around the site.
