Ucrete floor is tough enough for AZ
AstraZeneca has installed Ucrete flooring in its pilot production plant at its global research site in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
The plant needed tough, chemically resistant flooring for a demanding environment. It needed to be capable of withstanding solvent spillage while retaining antistatic performance to minimise the risk of explosions from sparks caused by static electricity.
According to Ucrete, its flooring was installed when flooring supplied by another company failed in the plant because of poor chemical resistance. Red Ucrete MF A/S was installed and Ucrete WR was used in the facility's drainage channels.
